The former Northern Arizona University All-American distance runner is looking to make his first Olympic team. Matt ended 2019 with three consecutive ITU World Cup wins to go along with his second place at the ITU WTS Leeds triathlon, the first WTS podium by an American male in ten years. The Huntington Beach, California native was a nationally ranked cross-country runner in high school and won the ITU U23 Duathlon World Championship in 2015.
